What an affiliate link is

Some articles on this site recommend specific products for readers who want to handle a job themselves. Where we link to a retailer for one of those products, the link may be an affiliate link. If you buy through it, Waves Pest Control earns a small commission. The price you pay does not change.

Every article that carries affiliate links says so at the top of the article, and each affiliate link is labeled where it appears.

Where an article links Amazon products, it does so through the Amazon Associates program, and Waves Pest Control earns from qualifying purchases — every such article carries the Associates statement above its content, and it appears in the site footer while any Amazon product is in our registry.

What commissions never decide

• Whether a product is included in an article, or how products are ordered.
• Whether we tell you a job is fine to do yourself or that you should call a professional.
• Which products our technicians actually use in the field. If an article says we use something, that is documented; otherwise it says we researched it.

The advice is written first. Product links are added afterward, only where they support instructions already in the article, and never in the opening of a piece.

What we will not link

• Restricted-use pesticides, fumigants, professional termiticides, or professional-use rodenticides.
• Any pesticide that is not currently registered for sale in Florida.
• Any product where the article’s instructions would differ from the product label. The label is the law.

Consumer pesticide products earn a link only after an FDACS-licensed reviewer has checked the current EPA label and Florida registration, and that review is repeated at least every six months.
