The Role
About the Role
Waves Pest Control is hiring reliable, detail-oriented professionals to join our field team as Pest Control Technicians. This role performs residential and commercial pest control and lawn care treatments across Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte counties.
Pest control experience is helpful but not required for qualified candidates. We provide structured training on products, equipment, safety standards, customer service, and Florida pest biology, with support for state certification.
What You'll Do
- Perform interior and exterior pest control treatments on residential and commercial properties
- Apply lawn care treatments including fertilization, weed control, and pest prevention
- Conduct thorough property inspections and identify pest activity, entry points, and conditions
- Communicate findings and treatment plans clearly to customers
- Complete digital service reports with photos after every visit
- Maintain your truck, equipment, and product inventory
- Follow all state and EPA safety regulations for chemical application
- Respond to callback requests and ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat in a physical, hands-on role
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently on a daily route
- Strong communication skills and a professional customer-service mindset
- Willingness to learn; pest control experience is a plus but not required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders, in crawl spaces, and attics
- Must pass a background check and drug screening

A Day in the Life
You start the morning by reviewing your route in the Waves technician portal. Routes typically include service stops across Bradenton, Sarasota, Venice, and nearby communities.
At each property, you inspect conditions, apply the appropriate treatment, document the visit with photos, and communicate clearly with the customer when needed.
At the end of the route, you restock your vehicle, complete service documentation, and prepare for the next day's schedule.
